The bird was molting everywhere (didn't look healthy), squaking like crazy and looking like he wanted OUT of the shop. There also was that big bullet hole in the window and weird netting on the ceiling which got my imagination going. Don't know, really...it just seemed appropriate.
I (or others) shot the photographs here during the specific months & years listed using black & white films in 35 or 120 mm manual cameras, polaroid, digital SLR & cell phone cameras. For the scanned black & whites, I developed the film & made prints in a traditional wet darkroom (vastly prior to 2014).
The purpose of this site is to document & categorize my ideas, my projects, my life. Ultimately, 'Light & Dark' is a bit of a narcissistic endeavor: it serves as a public exhibition to where I've been, what I've chosen to photograph + post & how I've determined its context. Your interest & understanding is sincerely appreciated.

Do I recognize those globes from somewhere? How'd you get Wend in the Winnebago like that?
How come the title is pet shop abuse?

Interesting....that lady in the window doesn't seem happy about a picture being taken
The lady at the machine was nice, she smiled at me. The lady behind her did not smile, she glared at me.
