June 2021: Ashes, Earth, Trees, Water, Sky

To honor Dad, who died August 17, 2018, we go outside.  To Fairmount Cemetery (where his parents are buried + where my sister & I learned to drive stick shift with him) & to Colorado's Rocky Mountains.  That high & dry place where the sun shines close in the bluest sky, the water is reviving, the air fresh but thin & the trees spread wide like an enormous blanket.  Where the views are mesmerizing & make you feel ALIVE.  My sister told me that all the aspen trees in a grove are connected like a brain under the earth which made me glad to remember Dad where he was happiest.  So we walked the trails in Frisco, Monarch Lake, Fraser & near Berthoud Pass to be with him again & spread some of his ashes in the places he loved most.

How nice to get to visit the places your dad enjoyed spending time and leave his ashes there. You and Jess still don't look a day over 25. Your mom must have been so happy to have you both home! I recognize that ice-cream place--looks tasty!

How wonderful to spent time with Sharon's 2 girls. Thanks for the delicious home cooked vegetarian dinners. It was so nice taking walk around Frisco with your mom while the 2 of you went hiking.
