Three days, two nights in scenic Astoria in the middle of an October week means few tourists, a hotel upgrade, afternoon sun & lots of fog, good food + Buoy beer, Wednesday night trivia with locals, nature walks with birds, barking seals & banana slugs, a 'Goonies' house sighting & all the quirks of Halloween in a small, Victorian-era fishing town.
