Joy number one was finding a great parking spot. Then we walked a few blocks to Broadway & met Yaya, the Neapolitan Mastiff who managed to lift his head. We found a wide corner to stand on & watched the bright colors go by. It was sunny; people were nice, happy. The parade delivered dancing, music, flags, drums, batons, balloons, queens, a little leather, floats & fun bikes. Big smiles, waves, applause, hoots, high-fives, handshakes & hugs. Skittles & snacks, buttons, t-shirts, stickers. Acceptance, celebration, remembrance, laughter, assurance, connection, positivity & pride.
