August 2013: B Is For Best

Since the weekend of July 15th 2011, a handsome black dog called Bruuni, a gregarious blond named Tiffany & SK have shared a happy home in the Cully neighborhood of Portland.  And by happy I mean the most visceral joy ever felt living with another human & animal.  Their happiness includes, but is not limited to:

watching evening TV together
observing B do whatever he does on the black rug
giving B scratches, rub downs & bongo drum pats
watching B mount T
doing yard work (SK learns much from T)
brainstorming, then fixing house problems
talking about birth, death & most things in-between
staining deck, re-flooring laundry room
taking walks to parks
being surrounded by great neighbors
playing ball-over-roof with alcohol in hand
playing kick-ball-with-foot in front yard with cigarette in hand, alcohol & gossip
shopping trips & fashion shows
cooking kidney-friendly goulash for B
watching B get cozy on his many beds
seeing the special bond B & T share
SK coming to love B (she already loved T)
being with best friends

Here's to you, Bruuni Friend!  For your constant companionship, animal antics & bringing us all closer.  And of course, to you, Tiff.  For being the best friend anyone (dame or dog) could conjure.

That is one impressively photogenic tongue Bruuni has!

A healthy, pink, long, ungraspable tongue. Not to mention beautiful....you're right! (You should see Tiff's).

Such wonderful friends & such a great tribute to them both! Know you'll miss them, but easily can stay in touch. They'll miss you too. Love the warm photos!
