While it doesn't happen often, when it does, it transforms the city. Vehicles stay parked, businesses closed. While some take to the streets with skis & sleds, others get cabin fever. It's idyllic, really; a blissful respite because life is suddenly simpler (or harder for those who fight it) & the frivilous details of living become so beautifully, so wonderfully irrelevant.
